This morning, Bethany and I both got to go to the hospital (to see the kids) - she was feeling much better and was excited to get to go. It was nice to be going back together instead of by myself yet again.
We got to the hospital and got all settled in. She held Josiah and I held Lilly – after a late lunch, we switched. Bethany dressed Josiah in some clothes from home that he’d received as a gift:
She held him for a couple hours, while I held Lilly:
At 2pm, we snuck downstairs for a sandwich and came back to switch babies for the rest of the afternoon. Bethany got to get Lilly in some clothes too:
When we got them tucked back into their houses, we changed their diapers one last time – I got Josiah and Beth got Lilly. Mid-change, at the perfect moment when there was nothing providing me protection, Josiah had… an explosion. He needed a new blanket and new clothes – it turns out he stayed in his first outfit for less than 3 hours before making a mess all over it. The second outfit Beth dressed him in turned out to be a great fit:
Overall, we had a terrific day. The kids were both wide-eyed and awake for much longer than they have been before. They were both fun to hold and talk to. I was delighted Beth got to be back with them for such a fun day.

It's so exciting to see their progress. They are still so small/young, but their personalities are already showing! I love how much they have already changed :) Thanks for the updates, I've enjoyed following and praying for your family.
That look on Josiah's face post-explosion says it all!! He just wanted a new outfit, DAD! They both look alert and could not be cuter! Great job, Creels!!!
I love the pictures! The changes are amazing. You can see their little personalities beginning to show. I love Josiah with his big eys and thumb in the mouth. For you to be able to drss them in their own clothes must have been such a special time. Glad to see Bethany is able to be back in with them. Keep up the great work!
Love,
Mom
