We are growing!!!!

Josiah and Lilly are doing beautifully.

Despite the record breaking snow, we were able to make it to the hospital for a few precious hours to visit courtesy of Steve's parents and their truck.

Lilly has had her feedings upped yet again. She is now able to digest 16 ccs of milk. They will continue to increase the amount per feeding until she reaches 23 ccs. At that point, they will start her on a bottle (or breast if I'm there). If she can successfully feed this way, they'll be able to take out the IV in her foot.

Her feeding tube has been moved from her mouth to her nose (gross-but she doesn't mind) because she kept rolling her tongue around it. Silly girl.

Little Josiah is FINALLY making progress on his feedings as well. He was up to 8 ccs while we were there tonight (as opposed to the 3 he was able to digest before). His PICC line will remain in until he is also able to reach 23 ccs feedings and can successfully use a bottle or breast for nutritive feedings.

They have such wonderful personalities already. We love holding them, watching them, and taking care of them as much as we can through their isolates. Thankfully their heart mummers have all but disappeared after one round of medication.

I still can't believe that daily conversations have become about their every need. It's SO WEIRD talking about stinky diapers, leaky breasts, and the amount ccs they're consuming every day.

WHO ARE WE????? We used to be cool people.

Need to put clean sheets on the bed since Milo left us a "present" in between our sheets last night.

Gross.

Guess it's a foretelling of what's to come.

Hello Beth & Steve,

Sorry but your being "cool" has been changed to "parents" but you can still be "cool" as well.

So good to be able to see the babies pictures. Very happy to hear of their daily progress. I'm sure God and you two will take good care of them.

Happy parenting. Keep us informed.

Love,
Granny
Grampy too
