I find that there are very few things in life that can't be solved or brought into focus over a large bowl of (NON-fat) chocolate ice cream.
We've had a good day- always long, always sad, but good nonetheless. The babies are growing like weeds. Good weeds...like dandelions.
We spoke with the discharge nurse today. Here are the milestones the babies need to achieve in order to get the a-ok to leave:
- Maintain body temperature
- Make it up to 8 feeds (bottle or breast) a day- Currently, Josiah is at 3 and Lilly is at 4
- Weened off of caffeine (no drops in heart rate)
- Sit in a car seat for over an hour with no drops in oxygen saturation or heart rate
