VIDEO

I'm not sure why the video is small, but I'll try to fix it later if I can.

For now, here's a video of Lilly practicing her consonant and vowel sounds!

8 Months Today!

Hard to believe it's been 8 months since the kids were born! Like Bethany said earlier today, we spent the day with them being sick and hoping they don't get sick too!

Our camping trip was a great experience. I went up earlier with my dad, Tim, Brandon, and Nicole. We got the tents and other gear setup at the camp site ahead of Beth, Michelle, and my mom's arrival later that evening. They ended up arriving much later than planned which made for a very late night. When they got there at 10pm, Lilly was throwing a fit (which of course was great for our camping neighbors). We finally got her settled an hour later, but it was exhausting and discouraging. We made some contingency plans in case they woke up in the middle of the night and we needed to go home....

It turns out they slept through the night (they were up at 4 or 5, but that doesn't count) and then did well on Saturday night too.

Having waited another month or two would have probably made a big difference - they kids ended up controlling our schedule. Beth and I were up at 6am with the kids in the mornings and feeding them was a challenge. With everyone around, we had help entertaining the kids.

We went to bed at 8:30 last night (I was literally asleep by 8:30!) and are getting ready for bed now. Here are some picture highlights from camping…

Sneeze, Sniffle, Sniffle

Well, (sneeze) we are back (sneeze, sneeze).

Overall, the camping trip with Steve's family and the twins went well. Gorgeous weather, picturesque scenery, excellent food and a nice break from the daily grind. Sadly, both Steve and I have gotten SICK!!!!! We are both home from work trying to get a little extra sleep and Vitamin C.

It was tricky and at times very difficult to pack, travel, soothe, feed, entertain, sleep with and otherwise carry on day to day activities with the twins while camping. We certainly don't regret going (although the first night was enough to change our minds), but we'll be glad once they're off bottles and diapers!

I don't have time at the moment, but here are a couple preview pictures!

:)

On another note, the twins will be turning 8 months in 5 days and we'll be going tent camping with them this weekend. We'll keep you posted on how it goes. I'm sure we'll have a lengthy blog post for all those who attempt this great adventure!!! Wish us luck....or maybe wish us sanity!

Phillies

Last night Steve, my parents and I went to a Phillies game. We had a wonderful time! The weather was PERFECT, we had excellent seats, I got Chickies and Pete fries and the game was super interesting. It was soooo nice to be out!

Thanks to Brenda, (Steve's mom) when we came home the house was clean and the kids were in bed. Unfortunately, they woke up at 5 and 6 am and then again at 7 am. Ohhhhh well!!!

In other news, we made it through this week!!!!!!

The babies are napping and Steve and I are going to do the same. After two nights of little sleep, we're excited just to rest for a little while.

When I don't have time to write.....

When I don't have time to write, I post pictures. We've all been extremely busy this week and until we can work the kinks out of our schedule, I'm afriad the blog (among other things) falls through the cracks. Thanks to those who sent encouraging notes, texts, e-mails, etc. to us as this was our first full week of our adjusted schedule. We certainly appreciate it.

Here are pictures Steve took of them in the car today. He takes pictures during the day and e-mails them to me. I LOVE when he does that.
