Day 1- Philadelphia

We picked Kara and Ashley up at the airport this morning and then headed over to Philly to be authentic tourists. Despite living so close, I have never seen the Liberty Bell or any of the other traditional touristy spots. It was a great opportunity to see it with the girls.

This is where one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence is buried, Francis Hopkins. At least 5 of the signers are buried at this site.

The bathroom!

Steve and I spent a couple days remodeling the hall/guest bathroom. We've been talking about it for a while (well, at least I have...) and so with out-of-town friends coming to stay, it served as the perfect motivator. 

The bathroom was previously a nasty green color with outdated light fixtures and one HUGE mirror that covered an entire wall. We continued to lay down the new tile that we had put in the kitchen and laundry room. 

We're pleased with the outcome and hope that all our guests like it too!
