Today Josiah took his second breast feeding in one day and Lilly took her first bottle. We're on our way outta there and one step closer to home!
Fast asleep...

Josiah LOVES to such on Steve's finger. For some reason it immediately calms him. Who knows why...
Lilly and Steve
They also received their first piece of mail! Thanks, Social Security Administration!
All in all, a good day at the NICU.
I wonder what it will be like when they're home.
There are many times while holding them, mind drifting, eyes closing, and chin sagging, that I try to picture a "normal" life with Steve, Josiah and Lilly.
What will they be like? How much of the quirks we see now are a part of their personality? I can't even imagine them walking and talking at this point. How will we juggle work and home? Will I remain a prepared and calm mother or will I struggle to find a matching outfit in the morning only to give up and go into work with whatever doesn't smell like spit up? How do we handle holidays with our families now that we have two babies? Is it really more difficult to have two babies verses one? How do I politely and firmly deal with strangers touching or talking to them in that crazy annoying baby voice?
Regardless of the number of unanswered questions that continue to float around in my head, I know at some point I'll figure it out sooner or later. Hopefully sooner. Every day I'm a little more confident. Every day I'm a little more uncertain. Who knew it could be like this...

Many babies like to suck on their parent's fingers. I think it's the skin, esp for breastfeed babies. It's normal. You guys are doing great! Love Steve's T-shirt!
Wittle baby wabies are so cutie patootie! goo-goo-ga-ga! :)
