When I got out of bed, Bethany was upstairs watching Disney's "Pocahontas". I wandered upstairs to see the very end of the movie. When it was over, I went downstairs to check out options for the Fourth of July while she put on "Fivel Goes West". I was very disappointed in the fireworks/4th celebrations in Viriginia and finally gave up and went back upstairs to watch the movie.
After "Fivel" ended, we put on "Small Soldiers" (we weren't picking from Blockbuster Online here -there was a selection of about 15 movies at the cabin, most of them were Disney/kids movies).
After that, we went downstairs to get something to eat. I spent more time looking online to try and find 4th of July activities in DC and put together some kind of schedule. Then we went to a local grocery store and paid $4 for a gallon of milk. When we went to the local Movie Starz, we found out that they need to put a $60 hold on a credit card in case we run off with a movie since we are from out-of-state. That's CRAZY. We rented "Shooter" and went back home to watch it. Maybe it was because of the movies we'd watched earlier that day (though I doubt it), but "Shooter" was excellent. We both highly recommend it.
When the movie was over, we both went to bed to get plenty of rest for our early and long day tomorrow.
Here's a picture from our front steps out to the mountains:
