We've decided to pass on the house. There were many ways we could make it work, but in the end, there were too many risks with selling our house now in order to buy the new one. We've spent countless hours pouring over numbers and discussing possible scenarios. It was a sad decision to make, but the relief of not having to make double mortgage payments or worry about what we can do to sell this place (should it linger on the market) is profound. We'll revisit relocation in a year.
We are celebrating our decision by going out to eat tonight. These last few weeks have left us even more tired and worn than usual. So excited to be out and about with Steve.
