Today the babies recieved their 2 month vaccinations along with a complete physical. They are doing remarkable well physically, mentally, etc. Josiah weighs a whopping 10 lbs 1 oz (has been gaining approx. 1 3/4 ounces a day!) and Lilly weighs 8 lbs 6 oz (gaining approx. 1 1/5 ounces a day).
We were concerned about Josiah's belly button which as it turns out is mildly herniated but should go away on it's own by kindergarden. It causes him no pain but if it doesn't diminish on it's own, we'll have to look at minor sugery for it once he reaches about 5 years. We were also concerened about his general fussiness (sleeplessness, crying, bringing knees up to belly, rigid extremeties) during certain hours of the day on random days. The doctor's input was helpful and we plan to implamemt some of his strategies. He wasn't worried about it at all; he thinks it's largely due to over stimulation (bright lights, noise....), digestive immaturity (some reflux and minor colic tendencies) and normal development as a baby grows and developes.
Lilly is exactly in the 50th percentile for EVERYTHING. Way to be exactly average on every level!
We just finished their 2:30/3:30 am feeding and although we desperately need to go back to bed, I wanted to take a couple minutes to put this together. Thanks to all for your thoughts of encouragement and love.

Tired from their shots and physical at the doctor's office:

So awesome Beth! You are such an inspiration.
Hi Bethany & Steve!!! So glad that the ped. visit went well. Thanks to all your parental tender loving care--the twins are sailing through each milestone! That is awesome! I was looking through pictures of them today when you first brought them home. So many exciting changes. Love you ALL :)
Hugs!
