It's night-night time.

“People who say they sleep like a baby usually don’t have one.” – Burke

Wow. Wow. Wow.

We’ve tried just about everything:

Rocking,

Pacifier,

Additional feedings,

Swaddling,

Walking,

Trips in the stroller,

Snuggling,

…. And still they cry.

This is day 5. Our quiet, snuggly babies are crazy people. Ever since Easter they’ve been “off” and it’s only gotten more tiring. Whatever you’ve heard about parenting, throw it out the window. You’ve just got to do what works for you, your spouse and the babies. I’m going to relieve Steve who’s been trying to console a crying Josiah for the better part of an hour.

One book that has been enlightening is Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Dr. Weisbluth. Although at this point our children are neither sleeping nor happy, we have high hopes for life after the first 6 weeks (from their due date). Supposedly this is the hardest part……

We’ll see.

Yeaaaah! Pictures!!! I love it! Thanks Bethany! Hi Ashley & Kara! You two look amazing--so glad you got to visit the Creel-Clan! :) I envy the time you have to spend with the twins. Are they not the most perfect (except for the sleepless nights) babies ever to bless the earth?!?! Love you ALL! oxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Beth,
I am thinking about you on these sleepless nights. I was up at 3:30 the other morning and was thinking about you taking care of your two little ones. I get so frustrated when I am beyond exhaustion and all I want to do is cry at times. But I feel comforted that it is a "normal" thing to feel and that I am not alone. The babies are getting so big since the hospital.
