Today we were able to hold Lilly Annabel for the first time. They had originally told us we'd have to wait to hold them for about a week or two, but a kind nurse took pity on us and consented to our silent pleas. Josiah still needs to regulate his breathing, so we won't be able to hold him until then. I was able to lay my hands across his little body and watch (with delight and a great amount of satisfaction) as his breathing and respiratory rate slowed and he eventually fell asleep.

This has been such an incredible journey, and I'm so glad you have been keeping close account of what's been going on. You're both very talented writers and photographers. I'm pretty sure this blog beats out Facebook for my "Top Visited" sites, lol.
