Prayers for Ben

My eyes are blurry.

I'm not sure if you've heard or followed the Sauer family blog (http://bensauer.blogspot.com/2014/05/the-eleventh-hour.html)  but their 5 year old son Ben is battling cancer and things are looking grim.

I think people use the term "battle" pretty nonchalantly, but it's a perfect visual of what actually happens. To battle means to rage or war against and I never met a braver fighter than my Grandpop. Watching him during the initial months of diagnosis and in the following years of victories and defeats, was both inspiring and scary. Even in the end... the very end, he was still who he always was to me, a tower of strength and a giant among men.

My heart and prayers are with the Saucer family. After the kids were in bed, I snuck in their rooms and held their sleepy bodies a little tighter...and couldn't help but cry.

I stayed home from work today because I had a series of bad allergy attacks over the weekend and got poison ivy on my forehead. Although I didn't feel well, it was really nice to have an extra day at home with the kids. I especially enjoyed our time outside before dinner and napping with Josiah in the afternoon.

Remember to click on the pictures to enlarge them.

The jeeps, of course.

I love this photo series of Noah. He loves "wishing flowers"and always hunts for them in the yard.

Love her style

...and he said he wasn't that tired...

Explaining to me why he needed to wear a tie.
