Oh Baby and Other Funny Things

At my OB appointment tonight, we were pleased to learn that Baby 3 is facing down. It's a small step, but it's definitely progress. I have another appointment the week after Christmas and then it's every week after that until he's born. We have a c-section scheduled for February 9th at 8:45 am (two days after I hit my due date) in case he hasn't come by then. Honestly, I can't tell if I'd be relieved to do the c-section or if I'll be relieved not to have to wait that long.

We're very anxious for his arrival and continue to discuss possible name combinations. We have several that are favored, but nothing we can agree to be "wow-ed" about. I've always been of the opinion that there's so much in a name. I take the task of naming our children quite seriously and with lots of excitement.

I love how active Baby 3 has been. It's freakish to see my stomach turn and bulge. The kids are forever lifting my shirt up and kissing the baby, rubbing the baby, giving their sippy cups to the baby (because he's thirsty, mom!) and ticking the baby. It's incredibly sweet. I hope he can feel how loved he is already.

This week is very busy for us. Tomorrow we're celebrating my sister's 23rd birthday at my parent's house. Wednesday and Thursday we have a Baby Basics class (labor, delivery and such) and Saturday we're taking the kids to Hershey Park for the Christmas activities, rides, and lights. Between work, the kids, addressing Christmas cards, gift wrapping, and our evening commitments, everything feels pretty scattered. We're looking forward to Christmas break and the chance to hang out together without feeling rushed by a schedule. We'll be making and decorating sugar cookies with the kids the day before Christmas Eve. I'm so excited to share that experience with them. Christmas this year will be entirely different than last year's. We're totally stoked about the gifts we've gotten them and each other.

Below are several videos from our phones:

Steve sucked the helium out of the balloons that the kids got at a restaurant after we went Christmas tree shopping with this family. He was talking crazy before this, but I was able to get the tail end :)

When we were little, my dad used to do this thing with my sister and I. He'd shake us on the bed or couch while we made funny noises. Lilly LOVES when "Pop" does this to her. She always asks for more but we try to spread it out so she doesn't get wabble-brain or something. Below are snippets from a few different times:

... her loving brother also gave her a good old foot in the face

Thought a lot of these were funny.... and true.
