15 minutes

For this moment, things are quiet. Whoever invented the pacifier was a genius. Pure genius. Now if only my darling children could figure out how to keep them in their mouths. (I've become a master at typing one handed.)

On one side of me, Lilly is fed and wrapped in a swaddle blanket nestled in her Boppy pillow. On the other side of me, Josiah frantically sucks his pacifier while he dozes on his tummy. He growls and grunts quietly while Lilly makes the occasional squeak.

The babies continue to grow before our eyes. Josiah has rolled over a couple times. I'm not sure if he'll want to play sports, but that kid is all muscle and determination. It'll be fun to watch what interests he'll develop. Lilly is all-girl. Usually while she eats, she'll clasp her hands together under her chin. How dainty! Both of them are smiling more and more. It's SO FUN to see!

My days are a whirlwind of diapers, feedings, laundry, cuddling, juggling, burping, soothing, and fighting fussiness both in the babies and myself. :) I know that I had a life before this, but I can't quite remember what it was like. There isn't time for anything but them. I'm anxious for this time to pass and yet I know that once it's over I'll never get it back. I try to cherish the small things like the feel if their skin, the way the cling to my shirt, their sleepy eyes and slow breathing, the sound of their cries or that irresistible baby smell (no, not poop).

And so I'm curious...if you have a child(ren) what are some of your favorite memories of them so far?

Their baby days went soooo fast. But, now that they are older, they get a kick out of making us smile or laugh! In fact, if they do something funny and see a smile on either of our faces, they are very quick to point out to their siblings that somebody made mommy or daddy smile!
