Friday was “Waterpark Trip #2” but first we went over to the “Explore More” children’s museum so the twins could show Bethany and Noah around. It turned out to be a fun way to get out of the house in the morning (the waterpark opened at noon).
Lilly enjoyed going back over to work on the car for a bit. Josiah was off doing his own things and I thought it was interesting that she picked to spend as much time as she did with the car by herself…
Lilly had dressed up with this outfit when we went to the museum on Wednesday but I didn’t get a usable picture of it then. She was just beaming and so excited to be dressed up again.

Lilly and I went back to the news desk for a little bit – we had a lot of fun pretending to read the news!
While we were there, Noah got an extremely urgent call on his BananaPhone. He picked the banana up from a bin at the farm stand and started having an important conversation!
We left the museum after about two hours and started back to the waterpark. On the way (the museum is about 30 minutes from the resort), the kids exhaustion became undeniable.
Rather than going straight to the waterpark, we went home for lunch and then naps. It could have been a long ordeal full of tears and sadness but they were so tired that they went right to bed, forgetting to protest.
After they woke up, we got back in the car for the 2 minute ride around the corner to the waterpark. Noah was pretty flexible the whole time we were there (all 3 days) but because his contentment was essential for everyone’s fun, we made it a point to accommodate him when he had a plan. As soon as we got in and set our things down, he grabbed a tube and took off for the lazy river (which, to be fair, we’d done first the day before too)…

A centerpiece of the waterpark is their tipping bucket. The bucket fills up and after several minutes, tips over and dumps out on top of the kids play area. There is a similar (albeit smaller) bucket that dumps out into the lazy river. Noah was fascinated by both and was frequently staring up at them telling us “here it comes”.

Noah loved the slides (both these little ones behind him and the bigger ones) but he also loved just laying in the water and fooling around!

It wasn’t as dark as it looks in this picture, the flash just makes it look that way. We were having a lot of fun swimming (in the “hot pool”) as things got darker outside and the evening lights came on inside.
