These are some pictures from today (and the past couple days)…
Lilly giving Grampy a goodnight hug.
We went out for a walk on Monday evening…
Josiah told Grampy to turn his hat around to match.
Lilly having a hard time staying on for her piggy back ride! She asked to get down shortly after the picture was taken.
Noah was hanging out with everyone and having a good time.
Lilly playing around at the table…
Going through boxes of some old train parts, Lilly was full of “ooooo"s as she pulled various things out and asked “What is it”.
We went to Deming Park in Terre Haute this morning:
Lilly has a funnel that she plays with at home and uses as a megaphone, yelling “Attention! Attention!”. She walked up to this tunnel (I was at one end, she was at the other) and stood in it, yelling “Attention!”
The kids are familiar with the concept of getting tickets – they both went up to the window and when it was their turn, they asked “tickets!”.
Lilly proud of having her ticket and being ready to go!
At the top of the picture, you can see the train tracks and the boarding platform. We told the kids they had to wait here on the bench until the train came back and they reluctantly sat down and watched for it to come back.
Once we got on the train, the kids were excited (though it doesn’t look like it in this first picture).
Here they’re yelling “hoooonk” as the train blew its whistle.
Do you see Josiah peering over the edge to check out what’s underneath the train?
The lady operating the train convinced everyone else to ride along with the kids and then even took a picture of us all!
Lilly craning her neck out to see what’s ahead. She loved looking out over the edge to watch as we went down the track.
She saw me taking her picture and wanted to make her silly face!
Here is Josiah walking up to check out the “Spirit of Terre Haute” train after we’d finished a few rides and were getting ready to leave. He had such a great time with it!
A quick group picture and everyone was being funny:
Lilly took off for the playground all by herself – she was waving her arms as she ran over:
Screaming in the car for fun – we could also send this picture to the pediatrician in lieu of an office visit to check out Josiah’s throat!
Playing with a small train back at the house…
While the big kids were playing with the trains, Noah was sad to be left out!
Some other pictures:
Helping Noah settle down at night…
Lilly watching a show on the iPad before bed. You can see Josiah watching in the background.
On Wednesday, we went to Jen & Kellen’s after Josh’s game (okay, we went there while the game was still going on – the kids didn’t last but the first two innings). Except for Tripp, the great grandkids were there and we tried for a picture. I had the camera and Bethany entertained the kids.
Here they are trying to cover their eyes while she was trying “peek-a-boo”:
One of the better pictures:
Noah laughing, Josiah was trying hard to be serious:
Last pictures from today (so we’re all caught up!) while the kids took turns on the riding mower:
