Back in the saddle again

It was a long ride (13 hours with stops) but we made it to Indiana; the kids were excellent! Despite a few half-asleep meltdowns and an early (early) morning feeding for Noah, we arrived on schedule.

Steve and I split the driving which made it more manageable. We hit several areas of fog, but otherwise it was uneventful.

I have a ton of pictures from today but the camera seems like it’s taking forever to wirelessly upload them.

The kids were ecstatic to arrive. They immediately began the grand tour which was mostly “new” to them since it had been a year since our last visit. The highlight for sure was the car and truck room. It was heaven to see Josiah, eyes wide, pulling Grampy from car to semi to tracker to digger to dump truck.

Josiah managed to get ahold of the garden hose before we could stop him and sprayed many a victim before we could turn it off.

Lilly corralled the cats (Boots and Nosey) speaking to them in her very best “easy” voice. She loved petting them.

Noah is the best baby EVER. After a 4 hour morning nap he was all smiles until he crashed in Steve’s arms in the evening.

We enjoyed a late afternoon walk to look for trains, but it was so HOT and dry outside we turned back a little early.

I may have suggested to Josiah that he grab the squirt bottle and get a couple people.
