It's rained all week.
Normally, I'd be very frustrated as this greatly cramps our options for play, but we've had a great week. This afternoon when I got home the kids were still asleep so I had time to sit down, grab a snack, make their quesadillas for dinner and change for a walk.
Once they woke up, I hauled them downstairs and strapped them in the stroller. The skies were menacingly dark, but I knew that we all needed some fresh air and a change of scenery. The landscapers were working and the kids were fascinated by their strange looking gear and noisy trucks.
After we stopped at a friend's house to say hello, it was necessary to run back to the house to avoid the downpour.
Skyping with daddy to say goodnight before bedtime:
Tonight's baby dinner: veggie, (shredded carrots, broccoli, corn) cheese, and chicken quesadillas. By the way, they ate BOTH of these.
Out for our cloudy walk!
The mess Lilly left me when she was "all done" with dinner.
Let me know if you have any other food or snack ideas for toddlers.
Hope this helps, my friends!
Happy Friday, everyone!

My 13-month old loves "pizza quesadillas.' I buy 100% whole wheat wraps from Target.. then put pizza sauce, a little bit of cheese, and then some combination of green peppers, pepperoni, and any other good veggies you can think of. It is semi-healthy, and definitely better than regular pizza.
BTW I have no idea how I stumbled on your blog, but we had an English class together at Olivet years ago..I think it was 2005 :-)
