Family of Five

We arrived home with baby Noah around 5:30 pm. We had intended to be home much sooner, but had misjudged how frequently (and voraciously) he would want to eat. It took another 2 hours after we packed up the hospital room to finally make our way to the car and out to freedom. We were much less paranoid drivers than we were with the twins (though to be fair, we hadn't anticipated they would be coming home as soon as they did).

Steve suggested we video tape the kids' reaction when we brought Noah home and I'm so glad we did! They were adorably excited. Steve's brother and girlfriend stopped by to meet the newest addition. Lilly was devastated when it was time for bed. She had to sleep with her baby doll and kept calling it "No-na".

In our little 2 bedroom condo, fitting the five of us is something of a trick. We'll be excited to put our house on the market (early March-ish) but I have to say there is something oddly comforting about being together in our "cozy" (on a good day) "cramped" (on a bad day) house.

We should be sleeping or doing laundry, cleaning our room or something else productive, but it's so nice to just sit for right now. The kids are playing, Noah is sleeping and Steve and I are lethargically sprawled out in the living room.

I know that there will be irritating days ahead. Though I tend to be an optimist, there's no denying the difficulty of juggling a newborn in addition to other daily and long term responsibilities, but for now... in the moment, things seem quite manageable.

We're anxiously awaiting my dad's return from Israel so he can meet out littlest one. Can't wait to see you on Friday!
