This week I visited my very dear friend Ashley! We had a great time, and I was excited to post some highlights from the trip...
(Also, a shout-out to Kara who we were very sad to not have seen this week.
We'll make it work soon!)
After she picked me up from the airport, we went to dinner at BRAVO! one of my favorite Italian restaurants!
My beautiful friend
On Tuesday, we met Julie in Brown County to hike in the park. Beautiful day! We were exhausted (and very sweaty) afterwards, but we had an amazing time!
Before the hike...
Beautiful Julie!
The hike was gorgeous! (Any yes, I did drag my camera around the whole time. Rather uncomfortable, but I'm glad I did.)
After we showered, we headed out to Texas Roadhouse. Our almost 7 ft. waiter was kind enough to take our picture
Before going to the county fair on Thursday, we spent the day at the pool working on our tan (I mean SUNBURN!). We also went to a place called Julie's Salon where we pampered ourselves with a pedicure- my guilty pleasure. I always know it's something I can do myself, but like most things, it's so much better when someone else does it for you!
We were extremely excited to head to the fair after hearing rave reviews about their food. Sadly my corndog proved too much for me and we had to leave a bit early so I could take a bunch of tums. Ashley was in the same boat an hour later, so we watched U571 and ate brownie sundaes. An oxymoron, I know...
A real mid-westerner
At the fair, they had dunk tanks for school bus drivers...HILARIOUS! (I have some memories of ones I would've like to seen in there!)
This guy went in as soon as I took the picture. You can only see the top of his head. Poor guy didn't have a chance with all those kids standing in line...

Ashley and I learned how to square-dance.
Thankfully, I had an uneventful flight home yesterday and walked into the house only to see a freshly vacuumed floor, flowers, a dvd, and a card from Steve. What a guy!
All in all, I'm sad to have left, but it's nice to be home. :)
