So our boat deal fell apart. We met with the inspector on Saturday - his professional opinion was well worth the fee we paid for it. The boat would have needed more than half its cost in repairs due to deferred maintenance. There were several other things that indicated it might have not been cared for that well (beyond not getting regular maintenance) and so we decided to pass. I was glad we skipped the on-water inspection part - it would have been hard for me to pass up the deal had I driven it on the water!
At the moment, we're on our way to go skydiving! We are picking up Kara and then heading out to Skydive Chicago (www.skydivechicago.com). We'll post pictures and stories later tonight. If there's not another blog post, you'll know it didn't go so well.
